A yellow myvi was nearly swallowed by a 3m wide sinkhole along Jalan Maharajalela on Nov 24 night.
“A 42 yo woman was driving her car along the road when the sinkhole appeared. She could not avoid it and the vehicle fell in,” City Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Asst. Comm. Zulkefly Yahya said.
The incident happened at 11.35pm near Viva Home. She was driving along Jalan Maharajalela and heading towards Jalan Loke Yew.
The Myvi fell head-first into the sinkhole, with only one of its back tyres gripping onto the edge of the road. But lucky enough, the driver was not injured in the incident. Thank God!
Facebook user also posted video on Myvi being lifted out by crane.
As shown in the video the Myvi only suffered some damage on the front bumper and the skirts.
China Press reported that DBKL workers have covered up the sinkhole as of 7.15am Nov 25. Quite efficient!
