Taiwanese singer Christine Fan’s husband Blackie Chen was one of the late star Godfrey Gao’s pals, She posted a series of photos and videos on Instagram on Dec 10 of their Christmas gathering.
A Christmas wreath in the shape of the letter ‘G’ also can be seen in the room, which was what Godfrey’s pals called him. And one of the guests was Godfrey’s father, Tsao Tao-cheng.
Christine wrote on IG: “We chatted with Godfrey’s father and sang songs, and it was a very special night. God says ‘A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones’. I think Godfrey wishes that all of us, including his beloved family and friends, will spend every day happily. Only this way can he leave in peace, to the happiest place with no worries. We miss you, we really do, and I hope we can continue being family in heaven soon, and be brother and sister to each other.”
Sobs .. In one of the videos, Wang Leehom is seen playing the Beatles’ ‘Hey Jude’ on guitar while Wilber Pan and Christine join him for a rendition of the song. Seated next to them is Godfrey’s dad who also singing along.

Godfrey’s funeral will be held this Sunday, December 15 but his memory will last forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
