Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, Malaysia had implemented Movement Control Order (MCO) since March 18 until now. In this period of time, no gathering or celebration activities is allowed which include a birthday party.
However, I always believe that every cloud has a silver lining, just like this creative family!
Recently a netizen shared a video on Facebook with a post written:
“When it’s your mom’s birthday and you invite all the aunties to Zoom because of social distancing…”
In the short video which only 5 seconds, we can see that a woman was sitting on the couch and celebrating her birthday. Yet there wasn’t any people coming on her birthday party, What in front of her is a birthday cake with lighted candles and a laptop.
Oh yeah… The woman and her family members are having a virtual birthday party!
No gathering = no spreading virus, So they decided to use another special way to celebrate the meaningful day.
The family invited their relatives to join an application named Zoom, which brings video conferencing, online meetings and group messaging into one easy-to-use application. And look! their virtual birthday party was a success!
