Faye Wong, Together With Up To 100 Artistes Joining 3-day Covid-19 Online Concert

Mandopop diva, Faye Wong has been named as one of the artistes who will be part of Believe in the Future, a Chinese online concert to help fight the Covid-19 global pandemic.

Although Faye Wong’s long-time manager Chan Ka-ying has said that her appearance is still under discussion. However, Wong’s name has already been listed along with several others as one of the acts to feature in the show.

Believe in the Future, also known as 相信未来 in Mandarin, is said to be a 3-day event that will feature up to 100 artistes. The initial list of 22 acts has been announced via Believe in the Future’s official weibo account. But, the dates for the event have yet to be announced.

Apart from Wong, other artistes named in the first batch include Kris Wu, Lay Zhang, Zhou Xun, William Chan, Na Ying, Wang Feng, Lang Lang, Lao Lang, Sitar Tan Weiwei, Ouyang Nana, Rocket Girls 101, Radio Mars, R1SE, Karry Wang, Cai Xukun, Chang Shilei, Charlie Zhou Shen, among others.

Chinese musician Gao Xiaosong, who is also the Chairman of Alibaba Entertainment Strategic Committee and co-founder of Alibaba Music Group, is the general curator of the online concert.

“We want to do it because we want to remember those who lost their lives, encourage survivors, and support medical workers and ordinary people who are struggling to start over,” Gao said.

Four major internet platforms ,namely Damai.cn, Xiami Music, NetEase Cloud Music, and Sina Weibo, will be involved in gathering the artistes for the charity event.
