Chocolate Goodness! Easy Viral Kek Batik Recipe

When people are coming to your house for lunch, tea or dinner, sometimes you would be having a problem to make something to impress them. Well, do not worry too much because we are going to give you a recipe for Kek Batik that will guarantee to make your guests lick their plate.

Ingredients

▶2 Big pack of Marie Biscuit  (600 g)

▶200g butter

▶1 cup of Milo

▶1 cup condensed milk

▶½ cup of cocoa powder

▶½ cup of hot water

▶2 large eggs (Gred A or B)

▶Vanilla Essence

For the topping

▶250 g Dark Chocolate

▶250ml Whipping cream

▶1 big spoon of butter

 

Let’s get to cooking!

Step 1

Break apart all the 2 packs of Marie biscuits

Step 2

In slow heated pan, melt down the butter. You can use both salted or unsalted butter.

Add 1 cup of condensed milk, 1 cup of milo, and 1 cup of cocoa powder to the melted butter.

Mix well until there are no lumps.

add the two eggs and 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence and mix them well

1/2 cup of hot water and stir it until it becomes a bit thicken.

Add the biscuits and coat all the biscuits with the chocolate mixture.

Layer the 10×10 baking tin with a heat resistant plastic.

Packed the Kek Batik mixture into the baking tin. Make sure to smooth the top.

Step 10

In a double boiler (a pot of hot water boiling underneath and another pot on top of it), add the dark chocolate, whipping cream, and a tablespoon of butter. Mix them well until it becomes shiny and glossy before closing the heat.

Pour the chocolate on top of the Kek Batik layer and smooth out the top by moving the baking tin.

Remove the air bubble and leave it in the fridge for at least 4 hours.

You are done! Just remove from the baking tin and cut it before serving.

Put your knife in hot water for 30 seconds or a minute.
