Ismail Sabri : Sermons in Mosques Resume on Jul 3

Sermons (tazkirah) are now allowed in mosques and surau nationwide starting this Friday.

Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said sermon before Friday prayers, solat Dhuha (voluntary prayer between morning Subuh and Zohor prayers) will also be allowed.

“Mosques and surau are also allowed to hold a sermon before Friday prayers based on the standard operating procedures (SOPs) that have been set as well as the size and capacity of the venue starting this Friday (Jul 3), ” he said during a press conference at Putrajaya on Wednesday (Jul 1).

He said religious classes in mosques and surau can also start but warned that social distancing must be observed during the classes, reported by The Star.
