The “Glee” Curse: 5 Tragic Deaths Within 7 Years , Average Age 35-Year-Old!

Glee is an American musical comedy-drama tv series that aired from 2009 to 2015. Probably some of you also grew up watching Glee like me.

Is it really a “Glee curse”? because 5 which include 3 stars, an assistant producer and assistant director died tragically.

According to CNN, Naya Rivera, 33, played Santana Lopez in Glee died during a boat trip in California lake on Wednesday. Rivera and her son rented a pontoon boat. The boy was found alone on the boat and told rescuers he and his mother had gone into the water to swim, but she did not get back on the boat.

Her body was found after a 6 day search. The discovery of Rivera’s body coincides with the 7th anniversary of Cory Monteith’s death.

Monteith, who played Finn Hudson was 31 when he was found dead in a hotel room in Vancouver, British Columbia, in 2013. His death was later ruled accidental, a result of mixed drug toxicity.

Five years later, Mark Salling, known for his role as Noah “Puck” Puckerman who had dated Rivera, died by suicide at the age of 35, 2 years after he was indicted on charges of receiving and possessing child pornography.

He had pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography involving a prepubescent minor and was scheduled for sentencing when he died.

Just days after the Monteith tribute episode was filmed, Fuller, an assistant director on “Glee” after a career on multiple other TV shows, died in his sleep due to heart failure on 2013. He was 41.

Then in 2014, production assistant Nancy Motes, the sister of Julia Roberts. Nancy died aged 37, after drowning in a bath on 2014. She was found surrounded by non-prescription and prescription pills.

She claimed in her suicide note that her sister was so cruel that she ‘drove me into the deepest depression I’ve ever been in’. She described the Oscar-winning star as a ‘so-called sibling’ who should get nothing if she died – except the memory that she pushed her over the edge.
