MOH Advised to Extend Recovery MCO

Recovery Movement Control Order ( RMCO) almost coming to an end. But looking at the current Covid-19 cases Ministry of Health (MOH) has advised the National Security Council (NSC) to extend the RMCO beyond Aug 31.

However, Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba said the decision was now up to the NSC and Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, reported by The Star.

The global cases has reached up to 23.1 million, with still US leading more than 5.7 mil infected cases. Total fatality more than 800k (3.47%). While Malaysia is sitting at 9,257 cases and 8,949 recovery cases (96.67%).

“The ministry has made the proposal to consider extending the MCO until we get better control of the situation.

“The Prime Minister will announce this soon as the recovery MCO period until Aug 31 is almost coming to an end,” he said.

Dr Adham also added that the World Health Organisation (WHO) had predicted that the Covid-19 pandemic would be around for at least two more years.
