Hang in there, Klang Valley Folks! Because you will have dry tap for at least 4 days.
Four water treatment plants had been shut down on Thursday (Sep 3) due to odour pollution and as of 2.30pm today (Sep 4) the odour pollution stands at 1 ton and the water treatment plants remained shut.
Air Selangor is unable to say when the plants will come back on as the water disruption this time looks to become the worst yet for the Klang Valley.
Today, authorities identified a factory as the culprit behind the pollution, and moved to have it shut down and impounded.
According to The Star, this is the second time that the factory had polluted the river and caused water disruption in the Klang Valley.
Air Selangor was under fire where public took social media to voice their frustration over the unscheduled water cuts.
One netizen questioned Air Selangor on their risk management skill or back up plan in case pollution happened because it’s not the first time such incident happened.
Other also pointed out, relevant authorities must take stern action towards the offender and very disappointed with their service.
One commenter asking if there is any lawyer can help to sue the service provider and the factory who polluted the river.
