Real Life Prison Break In Indonesia, China Prisoner Digging A Hole From Cell And Escape

I wonder where he gets the idea from? 

This prisoner who is a Chinese citizen was sentenced to death in a drug case. He spends months digging a hole from his cell which was connected to a sewer, and successfully makes an escape from the prison, reported by Oriental Daily.

This Chinese prisoner, named Cai Chang pan, 53-year-old originated from Fujian province, china. He is an international drug syndicate leader who was arrested in Indonesia and was sentenced to death 3 years ago.

Jakarta police spoke person said he was locked up in Class I Lapas Tangerang prison. Police suspected Cai make an escape on Monday ( Sep 14). They later found a hole in his cell with a diameter 50cm, depth 2m, and some tools that he used to dig the hole.

The hole was connected to a sewer where he can make his way to a village near the prison. According to a cellmate, Cai was planning for the prison break 5 to 6 months back. The tools he used were from the kitchen of the prison.

Police spoke a person also added the escape was most likely during the change of shift of the officers. Currently, there is no evidence showing prison officers that assisted Cai in the escape.

Cai is now the police most wanted fugitive. People staying around that area felt their safety was threatened and hopefully police will be able to arrest him soon.
