An ambulance driver was suspected died from overwork. He was sending a Covid-19 patient to the hospital before he collapsed and died.
Tronoh EXCO, Paul Yong Choo Kiong confirmed the statement with Oriental Daily that the ambulance driver was from Tronoh, Perak and the said incident happened in Pusat kesihatan Tronor. The ambulance driver died during his work hours.
According to Berita Harian, Health D-G Dr. Noor Hisham said the deceased was tested Covid-19 for 3 times and all resulted negative. He was with some underlying health conditions. Thus, autopsy will need to be done to determine the cause of death.
Those post circulated widely on social media since this morning ( Nov 24) claiming there is a surge in Covid-19 cases and causing the said ambulance driver overwork which led to his death, the post garnered a lot of netizens’ attention, flooded with condolences messages and netizens thanked the selfless frontliners for their contribution during the pandemic.
