Just a week back, The Thai King had fired 6 palace officials. This week, 4 more have been sacked. He even sacked his own consort on 21 Oct. Thai people are shocked on his move.(In case you’re wondering what is consort, it refers to a partner other than the king’s wife)

All 11 have been sacked for various reasons and the main reason is to do with violating Thai royal code of conducts.

Two bedroom guards had to face the axe for “extremely evil misconduct” and “adultery,” while another two military officers were sacked for being “lax” and “behaving unbecomingly of their ranks and titles.”All these four had their titles and ranks stripped.

The other 6 had allegedly conducted extreme disciplinary misconduct that apparently caused harm to Thai royal service.

Maybe it’s still sounds quite usual for king to sacked palace officials. But for the consort, it sounds a bit unusual especially when she was barely 3 months in her position.

The royal consort Sineenat Wongvajirapakdi was stripped off her titles and demoted .

“Royal Noble Consort Sineenat is ungrateful and behaves in ways unbecoming of her title. She is also not content with the title bestowed upon her, doing everything to rise to the level of the queen,” the statement from the palace read.

What we can see is King Vajiralongkorn is more hands on in terms of royal affairs compare with his late father. But we are not sure is it the end of it or more to come .Well, Let’s see ..
