From the moment you bought the air-ticket, dates are set. You book the accommodation, research on travel blogs and list down the things you want to do and see, check out the local food that you can’t miss. Needless to say, you’re super excited and that’s often the best feeling in the world.
Well that’s exactly what happened to these two Malaysians who were heading to South Korea for their dream holiday. After 7 hours of interrogation, they were deported back to Malaysia.
Muhammad Shaifuddin, Hasyemi Abdullah and Fadhli Maimum expected a fun-filled holiday when they landed at Incheon Airport on Nov 14. However, things doesn’t go as expected.
”They asked for our return tickets and I said I had it on my phone,” said Muhammad Shaifuddin. When he wanted to show it to them, they ignored him. Then they showed them the quarantine room and asked them to enter the room.
And once the 2 Malaysians entered, they were questioned for seven hours straight. They weren’t allowed to leave the room even for a toilet breaks.
It’s their first time travelling to South Korea, the two of them were very disappointed with the treatment they received. While Fadhli, been travelled to South Korea once were allowed to enter the country.
“Despite our efforts to defend ourselves, we were eventually forced to return to Malaysia after seven hours of interrogation,” Muhammad Shaifuddin told Harian Metro.
He was a fan of Running man. It was his dream to go to South Korea since 2010 because of his interest in their culture. He and his friends always wanted to travel and explore the country together.
But in the end, RM2,500 was burned on this unexpected trip.
“Lesson learned for us and we urged people that would like to travel in the near future to prepare thoroughly before going on overseas trip ,” he said to the media after arriving in Malaysia on Nov 15.
Take note, everyone! maybe we should print out your itineraries, return tickets, accommodation and bring sufficient cash in our next overseas trip.
