A 36 yo man from Hangzhou, China collapsed during a job interview. He was rushed to the Hospital immediately. While on the way, paramedic found his pupils had dilated and soon after they arrived the hospital he was declared dead.
According to China Press, The interviewer was shocked when he collapsed and said that the man mentioned he always stayed up late to work overtime, which may be the main reason he wanted to change his job and work in a new environment. The man also claimed to have high blood pressure.
Doctor Shi from the hospital said that the man had died from sudden cardiac death, mainly due to various cardiac problems.
Especially patients with coronary heart disease and hypertension have a higher risk of getting cardiac arrests, but even those who feel healthy can suffer from it as many don’t have any symptoms before they fall sick.
Another sad case, which happened lately was the passing of half Malaysian-Taiwanese actor, Godfrey Gao. A perfectly healthy and physically fit actor collapsed and declared dead when he was filming a reality show in China .
The doctor advises that those who have experienced heart attacks should be even more careful and avoid working overtime to prevent sudden cardiac death.
No doubt work is important, but life is full of things that are more important than work, isn’t it ?
