The start of the six-month trial period for motorcycle ride-hailing services in Kuala Lumpur has begun. Dego Ride earlier announced that the company has begun offering its services in select areas in the Klang Valley, with around 700 riders available.
As reported by SoyaCincau, the GrabBike service will be available for areas around KLCC, Bukit Bintang, Pudu and Chow Kit. If you are female passenger, you don’t need to be worry too! because you can request for a female rider.
The base fare is RM3.70 for trips within 3km. Every subsequent kilometres up to 5.5km, the passenger will be charged 66 cents for each kilometre while for distances more than 5.5kms, RM1 will be charged. Grab Bike will also provide a helmet for their passengers.
However, if the ride is cancelled by the passenger after five minutes or if the Grab Bike rider has waited for more than 2 minutes, a penalty of RM2 will be charged.
This is great news for those working in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. I think bike-hailing is the best to avoid traffic jam, provided no rain lah..We hope every will goes well and Grab Bike will soon be available for more locations as it is surely convenient for us to commute!
