A Thai woman in her late 30s, who was the babysitter to a 10-month-old boy was arrested at her house suspected abuse the baby boy to death will be produced in court in Petaling Jaya today for a remand order, New Straits Times reported.
It is learnt that the baby boy’s father received a call from the babysitter that his son had been injured at about 4.30pm yesterday. After rushing to the babysitter’s house and finding his son unconscious, the father immediately rushed the baby to Serdang Hospital.
However, all efforts to revive the baby failed, and he was pronounced dead shortly after.
A post-mortem conducted on the baby revealed that he had died from a severe abdominal injury due to blunt force trauma. It is believed that the baby had been struck with a hard object.
According to the father, the son had been healthy when he dropped him off at the babysitter’s house at 8am.
According to Serdang police chief Assistant Commissioner Ismadi Borhan, the case will be investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
How can the babysitter do this to a 10-month-old boy?? We hope justice will be served.
Our deepest condolences to the little boy’s family. RIP little angel.
