According to The Star, theme parks, including water parks, will be allowed to operate beginning Jul 1.
There are 54 theme parks nationwide, with more than 10,000 work force were given the green light to resume operations.
Sunway Lagoon just posted on Facebook a while ago, to share the piece of news with public. There will resume operation on Jul 4.
However, all theme park operators must strictly adhere to the standard operating procedure (SOP) including ensure social distancing at all times.
- Number of visitors allowed will be based on the theme parks’ size and capacity.
- Visitors must also register through the MySejahtera application.
- Visitors must undergo body temperature screening and be provided hand sanitisers.
For water theme parks, they need to abide by SOPs and guidelines on the management and maintenance of swimming pools, which is under the purview of local authorities.
The water parks must also abide by guidelines pertaining to the maintenance of swimming pool water quality.
