During the Movement Control Order (MCO), a lot of people suffers from circumstances such as being laid off from their job. But most people are still lucky as they still have their house and family to give some help if they needed it. However, some people don’t have that privilege and have to go through all the hardships by themselves.
Recently, a post went viral of a family of three is living in a waste compactor area. The post garnered over 588 likes and 693 shares on Facebook has made a lot of the netizens’ heart breaking into pieces.
The Facebook user, Kitty Goh said that yesterday (6 July), she happened to pass there and saw a woman and two children, between the age of 13-14 years old and 2-3 years old. They are living in the area near the dumpster. She added that the environment was very harsh.
Kitty Goh also said that today (7 July), she went there again to see if they are still there. To her surprise, they were still there and she saw the mother and her young child were sleeping. Then, she hurried to the nearby convenience store, buying some foods for them. She gave them the food and even some money to the mother for an emergency.
She asked the mother why they lived there, the mother around the age of 25-26 years old told her that her husband was in jail after being accused of stealing a motorcycle. That is the reason why they are homeless. She also told her that her eldest son went to school that day. They live in a small space with their clothes and things.
In her post, Kitty God asked that if anyone knew any welfare that can help the family. Not only that, but she also encourages people to help the family by giving them food, clothes, or quilt to the family. The family is currently living at Jalan Bukit Permai Utama 2 in Taman Industri Bukit Permai, Ampang.
