This is the first case after school reopen since Jul 22.
Sabah Health Department (JKNS) director Datuk Dr Christina Rundi confirmed that a primary school student from Inanam, Sabah tested positive for Covid-19 on Jul 27, the 8-year-old was currently being treated at the Likas Women and Children’s Hospital, reported by NST.
She noted all the student’s contacts which include the parents, 37 classmates, 8 teachers and other contacts had been identified to undergo screening, as well as quarantine.
Ministry of Health urged parents not to send their children to school if they are not feeling well, but instead bring them to a clinic for treatment.

On Monday, a message went viral over social media stating that a pupil from a primary school in Inanam was found to be Covid-19 positive after seeking treatment from a health clinic.
So far, Sabah recorded 392 cases and the new positive cases were from Lahad Datu, Papar and Penampang ,11 remain active cases, 374 have recovered, and 7 died.
