What do your company do if you fail to hit your sales target?
An incident happened in Changsha, China where a group of five salespeople were spotted running naked across the city after failing to hit their sales target, reported Sin Chew.
The men aged between 18 and 27, had reportedly lost a bet against a rival team and had to accept the punishment by running around Changsha City’s 3C Plaza.
Their antics got them arrested for causing a public nuisance and they were detained. While the leader, whose surname Chen, 23, was held for a week for police investigations.
From a picture posted by a passer-by, the Changsha City police were seen providing the men with towels to cover up their private parts before taking them to the police station.
When the pictures started circulating online, many Internet users criticised the act as “disgusting” and suspected that the company had a hand in meting out the “punishment”.
“I don’t think it is the employees’ idea to run naked. Could it be a punishment by the company?” one Internet user wrote, adding that the police should also be investigating the company for misconduct. Other wrote, ” This company is in trouble!”
