Looking at the surge of Covid-19 cases, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah. says we are entering the third wave of the pandemic. A few districts which were classified as red zone were ordered to implement CMCO.

However, a netizen was blaming Dr. Noor Hisham for another round of lockdowns and wanted him to admit he strategised wrongly, and said,” The only curve you’ve managed to flatten is the economic curve”

The netizen took Twitter to share his point of view by tagging @DGHisham. His tweet read,” We’ve had 8 months of your strategy @DGHisham and another round of lockdowns and yet we are no where near seeing the end. Perhaps its time to acknowledge that you were wrong and to change the strategy. The only curve you’ve managed to flatten is the economic curve.

Dr. Noor Hisham replied to his tweet, “In worst case scenario, if we failed to control Covid-19, it will be worst for the economy, social ,education etc in the long term.”

Another netizen responding to his tweet saying,” You’re not using facts. Not everyone has the privilege to endure whatever long term strategy you have in mind.”

” Look at the impact of lockdowns all over the world. It’s worse than the disease itself-worsening poverty level, increasing child mortality and prolonging the pandemic.”

Other also said,” 14 days quarantine for Sabah travellers should be imposed earlier even you have negative result during the 1st swab. Why suddenly there is a change in strategy there? I’m trying to understand the root problem. @ DGHisham”

To answer the netizen’s question, Dr. Noor Hisham replied the tweet,” Initially there were more green zones than red but the situation is reserved and hence the mandatory quarantine for 14 days. In Selangor by tomorrow we could have 4 districts in red zone.”

Also in one of the tweet answering to netizen question, he responded, ” To date the only viable exit strategy is, we must learn to manage the virus and make permanent adjustments to our daily lives to live and control the virus in the virus in the community. EVEN if we have the vaccine in our fight against the Covid-19, it won’t end the pandemic on its own.”

Despite of some sound of disagreement on the strategy to flatten the curve. There are quite a number of netizens that backing our Health Director-general saying he is not the one to be blame.
