There were 2 videos went viral on Twitter since 2 days ago, where two men can be seen within their residential compound shooting 7 stray dogs to death. Netizens especially dog lovers were fumed over the animal cruelty, criticised their inhumane act.
According to Sin Chew, the first video was uploaded on Nov 23, where topless man with sarong can be seen aiming his rifle towards somewhere outside his house, then he pulled the trigger and a dog was believed shot and can be heard whimpering in pain.
One voice in the video can be heard saying, only the dog’s leg was shot. However, we are not sure whether the dog survived the gunshot.

Another video of a man with checkered shirt and songkok killed 1 stray female dog and its 5 puppies. According to source from MAA, the incident happened in Terengganu, where the female dog and the puppies believed to play in his residential compound.
Malaysia Animal Association (MAA) urged any witnesses or individuals to come forward to them with information and also offering a RM2,000 reward to anyone who has information on the man that will lead to his conviction.
Malaysians can be convicted if shooting animals without authorisation as it is considered illegal. According to Section 30 of the Animal Welfare Act 2015, if found guilty one could face a maximum fine of RM100,000 or jail for not longer than three years, or both.
