Studying online is not easy. So, do teaching online. You will have a lot of distractions and problems. But still, it doesn’t break the spirit of both the students and teachers. A son shared a story of his father, a teacher on Facebook, and garnered over 64K likes and 25K shares by netizens.
The writer shared that his father is a teacher that will retire soon. One day during CMCO, the father facetime him and asked him to check his laptop for some issue. After checking, the writer told his father that his laptop is old and can’t be used. So, the father ends up borrowed his daughter’s laptop and asked the writer to install some software. His father does this for his students.
At first, the writer teased him since he is going to retire soon but the father ignored him. Apparently, his sister shared with him the picture of his father, teaching his students. The writer was ashamed by what has he said. He remembers his father once told me, he doesn’t care how many actually paying attention to his class. But if there is one among them that does well in exams or in life, he is happy enough.
He said that his dad might not be the best teacher but he is one of the good ones, just like how a good dad he is to his family. The writer is proud of his father’s dedication and passion.
The writer warned those saying the teacher is taking “blind salary” also known as gaji buta during this MCO period, to think twice before they say it next time. He said if people still think being a teacher is much easier than other jobs, he responded with ‘ mak Kau Hijau’. Jokingly, the writer adds that his father owes the IT consultation fees to him.
People all over the internet commented on the post as the story was very heart touching.
