The 33-year-old actress of Dukun and Dunia Baru, Elyana Emrizal who has been battling Stage 4 lymphoma cancer, has revealed that her cancer cell had spread to other part of her body.
She was hospitalised again since last month to begin her chemotherapy treatment. She loss appetite the last few months and she only weighs 40kg now.
According to NST, she was hospitalised last month, the doctors said that the cancer cells had been reduced. It was great news. However, the doctors later found that the disease has spread to her womb, liver and hips as well.
According to The Star, her husband Khairul Anuar Hussin said the cancer had spread to Elyana’s spinal cord and backbone.
“Last week, Elyana complained that her legs felt numb and she could not walk.
“She took painkillers but when there was no improvement, I decided to take her to the hospital.
“The doctor confirmed that the cancer had spread to her spinal cord and backbone,” he said.
She will need to undergo 10 sessions of radiotherapy follow by chemotherapy immediately or she could become paralysed, reported by Harian Metro.
It’s been 10 years for her battling with cancer. However, she said she will face the illness positively and intended to fight the disease all the way and hope other cancer patients to do the same too.
