The poster come with a tagline, creatively “odd” combination, amazingly delicious. The burger priced at RMB13.14 ( RM8.15) for members, and they will have to redeem a voucher online to get it.
The announcement on McDonald’s China’s website described the taste of the Oreo and Spam burger as “tender and juicy,” “full of meatiness” and with “a hint of sweet aftertaste” that amounts to “an unimaginable double surprise.”
McDonald’s invited netizens on social media platform Weibo to leave their reviews, which were indeed quite mixed.
▼”Combination of Oreo and luncheon meat are surprisingly delicious ,” said one member. “I thought the sweetness and the savoury wouldn’t match but it was unexpectedly harmonious and tasty.”
▼Another commenter found it good, but too small: “As someone from Shandong, I am quite fond of this level of saltiness. If you disregard the price tag and its miniature size, I’d give it 80 points .
▼However not everyone like it some also criticised it, ” Not so tasty,” said one Weibo user.
Another commenter said: “It was sour and sweet and savoury. I could taste the flavours of car sickness.”
▼A few users also pointed out that it could quite possibly be the “easiest McDonald’s burger to DIY at home”
To be honest, i really wonder how the burger taste like. Dare to DIY and try at home?
