Love is blind is what they say. Some people rather choose to be blind from seeing their spouse flaws in hoping that they can change them. But both side know that they are hurting each other. Like this guy who braced himself to come out of the closet to let everyone knows what an incredible his ex fiancee is despite knowing he is gay.
On his post on Twitter, this guy shares his story on why he decided to call off his engagement with his loyal and supportive fiancee. His heart wrenching post has garnered over 7.6K retweets and 19.2K likes.
He told that despite knowing his status as a gay, his ex-fiancee still accept him with high hope that he will change. But he himself knows that he can’t be a good husband or father, so he decided to call off their engagement. He did went to see her father to apologised to him because he is not the right future son in law for him.
Before they got engaged, she already knew that he has someone else, he even loves his partner more than her and she also knew they were living together as she once met him with his partner.
Both of their family really likes both of them to be together. Physically looking like the best son in law, he knew that he can lie everyone with his appearance but deep down he can’t lie to himself.
He decided that it is better for him to call it off rather than be sorry later. In the future, he don’t want to act like a happy family when in fact everyone is hurting.
“I don’t know if I can ever stop loving someone with the same gender. I am sorry, I just want to be myself,” he said.
Up until today, his ex-fiancee still hasn’t settle down with anyone that his friend were saying that she won’t ever get married as long as he doesn’t. It’s like she still holding on to the hope that she still has chances to live with him.
“To my ex-fiancee, I am sorry. I hope you find a perfect guy to love and care about you just like what you did for me. You deserve a true man, not a coward like me,”.
His ex-fiancee were aware that he is gay and HIV positive, yet she still accept him for who he is, that is why he can’t let her make mistake choosing him as her life partner.
She would also accompany him to see doctor about his illness and keep all his secret from everyone else. She is truly one in a million woman!
