We heard a lot about Food delivery riders being scammed. Well, this Twitter post garnered 10.9K retweets 17.2K likes after it shares a hilarious story of a Foodpanda rider who thought he almost being scammed by a boy who orders pizza.
The story started that the rider shared a story that he got an order of pizza with a total of RM28.50. When the rider went to deliver the pizza, he was surprised that the one who ordered the food is a boy!
To make it funnier, the boy then handed the payment, which turns out to be a plastic full of coins!
Since the rider was rushing, he just took it without counting the coins. But, he did tell the boy that if it wasn’t enough, he will contact the boy later. When he exchanged the coins at the local petrol station, the coins proven to be the only RM18 instead of RM28.50.
The rider confronted the boy and ask for his father’s phone number. At first, the boy didn’t want to give it but the rider told him that he would make a report at the police station, which scares the boy.
The boy confessed that he scared that his father would get angry and the rider asked him why he used the application as he was still underage. Apparently, the boy just wished to eat a pizza.
The reason was bittersweet that end up making the rider to give an ultimate decision. He decided to pay for the boy’s pizza. The rider even told the boy to eat it to his heart’s content.But, he warned the boy to not scam other people in the future.
Thankful for the generosity, the boy asked for his forgiveness, which the rider’s accept. The story ends up with the boy asking permission to off from the phone and sleep, which is very adorable yet funny at the same time.
The post garnered so many people’s attention and a lot of them commented on their feelings regarding the story.
