Malay Actor, Harris Annuar tested positive for Covid-19 after returning from a new year countdown trip in Langkawi. His management company also took IG to share his itinerary in Langkawi and urged those in contact with the actor to go for a test.
He went for a test in a clinic in Shah Alam on Jan 3 after returning from Langkawi on Jan 2. Unfortunately, he was tested positive.
He apologized in his IG for the inconvenient cause and informing those who in contact with him within these 2 weeks to undergo the Covid-19 test. He was currently under home quarantine, will undergo a second test today, and waiting for Ministry of Health ( MOH) instruction.
However, there were plenty of speculations on his whereabouts during his trip to Langkawi. Some said he was partying in Dash Hotel during the New Year countdown. Some saw him dining in Restaurant Cili Kampung, which was both not true. Thus, his management company decided to release a statement on his itinerary.
The actor took a ferry to Langkawi on Dec 26, and Airasia flight, AK6303 at 12.50 noon on Jan 2 back to KLIA2. He also listed hotels, restaurants, and places he visited during the stay.
The management also added that Harris practiced SOP and on face masks in public places all the time. He also checked in with MySejahtera app when he visited any places.
They also clarified that Harris did not went to any crowded places or attended any parties.
Anyway, looking at the surge of Covid cases, I think everyone should play a part. Think twice before you head out to any public places.
