” Ohhh.. This is ” Mee Bodoh” , I thought you are playing the fool.”
A food delivery rider took social media to share a funny moment of him in a roadblock when he was sending a meal during MCO 2.0
The delivery rider sending a Malacca’s famous local food “Mee Bodoh” was stopped by a police officer in one of the roadblock in Malacca. The police officer was asking him, ” Ko bawa ape( What do you send)? ”
Food delivery rider said, ” Mee Bodoh” ( Mee= Noodle, Bodoh = Stupid)
The police been asking the same questions for 3 times and he had been answering the same answer for 3 times too. The police officer looked angry. Then asked him to stop aside and checked the meal in his food delivery backpack.
He took out those noodles ( Mee Bodoh) and the police only realised and said, ” Oh .. This noodle is Mee Bodoh. I thought you are playing the fool. OK ! You may go now.”
The food delivery rider was thinking the police office might not be ” orang melaka”. Thus he don’t know what is mee bodoh.
Haha~~~ actually i don’t know either.
But Mee Bodoh originated from Jalan Tengkera, Malacca, a noodle stall named ” Hassan Mee Bodoh”, it’s a Malay style fried yellow noodle with sambal chili and bean sprout, often topped with a telur mata kebau ( sunny side-up egg) and sliced cucumber. But we have no idea why they named it mee bodoh.
A lot of tourists will also give it a try when they were in Malacca. I’m going to try it next time when we can do cuti-cuti Malaysia again ~~~
