A China influencer Chaiu gained her fame in Douyin because she looks exactly like the South Korean superstar Lee Ji-Eun or better known as IU, Yes! IU, my favorite K-pop singer, and actress.
Chaiu was known as “Chinese version IU” and became a hot search in South Korea after an IG account uploaded videos of Chaiu teaching people to make up and dress up.
Netizens were in shocked as they thought the girl in the video is IU, by just looking at the video, you will find the both have similar face feature .. like Doppelgänger~ a biologically unrelated look-alike, or a double, of a living person.
Due to the amazing similarity, some IU’s fans were curious about who this IU’s doppelgänger. Some netizens started digging Chaiu’s personal information.
And what netizens found that she was completely different from IU after they found private photos of the influencer.
A netizen who is familiar with technology explained that the Chaiu looked similar to IU not because of her makeup or how she dresses up, but she was using the “Deep fake” face-changing app to try to imitate IU to gain traffic and fame.
