The SOP for the Chinese New Year celebration was announced by the Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob recently!
Apparently, celebration only allowed within family members from the same household only. It was said that house-to-house visits, as well as cross-border travel, are not allowed. Prayers at temples are also not allowed, except for five of the temple’s committee members.
This SOP has caused a lot of people to criticize as it was also announced that night markets, saloons, and car wash will be opened until 10 p.m.This caused a lot of people to create memes over the new SOP!
