If you’ve been renewing your road tax at post office, you need to aware of this latest announcement made by Pos Malaysia on their Facebook page.
Due to orders from Road Transport Department (JPJ), Pos Malaysia will suspend the renewal of Lesen Kenderaan Motor (Road Tax) for private vehicles. However, this suspension is only temporary, it will take place from February 23 until March 31, 2021 at all post office nationwide.
If you got your road tax due in that time period, fret not as Ministry of Transport has gave exemption for road tax and driver license renewal for this MCO 2.0.
This means that you can still operate your vehicles as long as you have a valid vehicle insurance certificate (e-cover note). And for other services such as driving license and vehicle insurance, they will still be operated as usual.
