This 5 Steps Potato Fingers Recipe Is The Best Home Made Snack You Can Make!

Everyone loves simple fried snacks that can be eaten anytime in the day. But do you want to make your own home made snacks?

This lady on Facebook has shared a recipe of making a potato fingers that is crispy on the outside but will melt in your mouth. Her post has amassed over 567 likes and 10K shares as many are excited to try this simple yet very flavourful finger snacks!

This recipe is very simple, it just requires 5 steps to get this beautiful golden crispy savoury potato fingers.

Ingredients that you need are as below:

  • 3 large Potato
  • 5 tablespoon corn flour
  • 1 tablespoon rice flour
  • 1 tablespoon chopped spring onion
  • 1 tablespoon finely shredded carrot
  • Pinch of white pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

※ Adding rice flour is just to make the potato fingers crispy. If don’t have rice flour, then you may just add corn flour only. The output still will turn out

Step 1: Cut the potato into slices and boiled to soft texture.

Step 2: Smashed the potato and add in all the ingredients.

Step 3: If the mixture looks dry, you can add 1 teaspoon of butter or oil . It needs to be a bit moist so that can it hold the dough together and make the shapes.

Step 4: Keep the shaped potato fingers in the refrigerator for 5 to 10 minutes before frying it. This way, the potato fingers will be firm & easy to handle while frying it.

※In case the dough might become too dry, and you couldn’t press or make the preferred shapes, you can add in little vegetable oil or butter, to make the dough moist.

Step 5: Fry the potato fingers to golden in colour.
