When we talk about ” Go dutch”, it means splitting the bills, sharing the cost equally. Beside that, this couple is living under one roof more like a housemate. From food to even household products, the two are getting their very own set, not sharing at all.
▼ For examples, in terms of food, Itsuki prefers something rich in flavour while Aiko prefers something light. Thus, although the couple eating together in the same table but they prepared food in a separate cookware so they can have food on their preference.
▼ Then the bed, they are sleeping in the same room but different bed and with their own liking bedsheet. So, they will not affected each other quality sleeping time.
▼ The most shocking part is the ” ultimate AA-basis couple” are wearing a pair of wedding rings with completely different designs.
▼ Not only that, Itsuki also shared with the audience, although he will share the household chores. But mostly it was done by Aiko. He is paying JPY1500/ hour ( RM57) to his wife for her effort in doing household chores. So, it was roughly around JPY 40,000 ( RM1,520) a month.
▼ Aiko said her husband doesn’t like to be bounded, so the two also seldom hold hand in hand.
The couple also added they respect each other, not interrupting each other living habits as well as preference.
” At first, i don’t really used to it. But somehow i feel blessed and happy when my husband respecting my preference and i enjoyed freedom. Mostly importantly, the couple must come to a common ground, where both agreed that going dutch will benefit their life and cut down the unnecessary argument after married.” said Aiko.
Let’s check out the netizens’ comments:
▼” What an odd marriage”
▼” This is exactly housemate relationship”
▼” As a married couple, shouldn’t be so calculative. If both husband and wife with income then each shoulder some expenses. If too rely on man, you will feel stressed or wife too calculative also not so good. Marriage is something both need to manage together, only a marriage can last long ”
▼” This is very good, the wife can see it( household chores) as a job, she won’t feel bored and meaningless~”
▼” A little bit odd, but as long as they are happy then it’s fine. Hourly pay for housewife is a good idea. At least, they will have some income and don’t need ask for money if they want to buy anything. It’s a way to payback for their hardwork”
▼” If AA-basis bring happiness, why not. It’s a new trend but most importantly is the balance between the couple. Anyway, marriage for youngsters nowadays quite fragile. Breaking up seems quite common after some arguments”
▼” As long as the couple is happy. It’s not necessary to follow other people footstep. Because they are bothering anyone.”
