The scene below, racks with assorted flavour breads is pretty common for Malaysian. But probably this scene is slightly different in East Malaysia.

A netizen from East Malaysia took social media to share a photo, the post caught a lot of eyeballs as most of us only realised the price for gardenia bread is 3 times higher than in west Malaysia! A loaf of Gardenia bread can cost up RM13 ++!

Is the bread flew in with air plane taste better? Hahahaha! This price is killing but yet a lot of people buying. To be honest, i really don’t know how to buy with this kind of price.

Those days my family always asked me to bring back a full luggage bag of Gardenia / Massimo bread. Those from West Malaysia probably don’t understand us.

Anyone like me going home with a box of bread? comment in the post and share with me.

As seen in the photo, all the breads are 3 times more expensive, especially the Chocolate raisin bread loaf which cost RM13.20!

Post Author: When i bought a box of bread,  the shop owner was asking me whether i wanted to sell the breads. Then i told him, my hometown do not have Gardenia. He was in shocked too.
