In an effort to protect the children and prevent them from suffering the consequences of their behavior, parents can begin to hen-pick, scold, complain or nag. Same goes to this university student, his mother keep nagging on the way he spend money. He was obviously not happy with them.

The post read:

Is it only me that wanted to study somewhere and quickly get away from home?

When i was young, mum always educate me ” we are not wealthy family, please do not over-spend and save some money”, her thoughts make me feel incompetent. But looking at my family financial status, we consider quite ok!  We have a few houses, a shop lot to rent out, a few cars. My dad also bought branded stuff while mum just wearing those cheap clothing and never bought new cloth.

I will need to go back to Kampar lately, thus bought some new clothes and shoes, and it’s not that expensive, RM150 -RM300 for 1 top, RM80 for a pant and shoes for RM700 ++, i bought a shirt for my presentation.

My dad said OK, but my mum kept nagging, saying why am i spending so much on clothing? saying me over-spend. Hello? Isn’t them necessities? why do i need to save on it? Moreover, my dad agreed with me. You thought everyone like you? everything is expensive!

Moreover, during school holiday i did some part time job. I bought iPhone and earphones with my own money. And i do have some savings. My mum was making noise and said : 「 Why must you buying such an expensive phone? we are not that rich. Please save some money.」

Seriously, i was thinking : If i never go out to further my study and continue to stay at home and educated by her kind of thoughts. Sure i will not have a successful life.

I really hope to go away from home to further my study, even working part time i don’t mind. As long as quickly graduate then work somewhere and get away from this home. Just meeting  maybe once a week, and give parents some money will do .
