Recently, a Instagram page “malaysianpaygap” went viral. In less than a week, the followers had gone up to 6 figures! The Instagram page is popular as netizens can share their pay and working experience anonymously. We have listed out 40 jobs, to bridge your knowledge and income gap.

The anonymous netizen further explained that she has been with the current lawyer firm for 3 years because her salary considered not bad in Malacca compare with other lawyer firm. Her peer in Pahang only with monthly salary of RM2,800 with 6 years experience.

▼ 9. UI / UX Designer – Monthly income RM7,000(Nett,before EPF deduction)
▼ 10. Data Scientist – Monthly income RM4,600(including allowance,Bonus average 2-3 months)
▼ Tough job, with high expectation. Not everyone can take the stress.
▼ 12. Music teacher – Monthly income RM7,000-8,000
▼ 13. Lab technician (Microbiology)- Monthly income RM2,000

Heavy workload during peak, OT until 3-4am. It’s even worst to have rude clients, bad manager and family who don’t understand you.
