Do not simply believing in any unknown seller in Facebook, because it’s possibly a trap!
A Malaysian housewife took social media to share her horrible experience, she was attracted by one of the Facebook sponsored ads selling seafood. She contacted the seller and lost RM5,000++!

New tactic from the scammer again — plagiarized product picture( Crab) ! Hopefully i can raise some awareness so no one will fall into the trap again!
They plagiarized picture of big &fresh crab to attract Facebook user, especially housewife like me, i thought of getting some fresh and affordable crab to cook a delicious meal for my family. Firstly, they asked you to download EastCartOnline app, add the items you want to the cart, then you will be asked to pay RM20 deposit, then cash on delivery for the remaining payment.

I managed to use the link they send to pay RM20 deposit with my UOB Bank. Select the bank, entered username, password but login attempt failed. The i tried with Public bank too but with the same issue — login attempts failed. Now only i realised they stole my username and password using the link they send, and the money in my bank was gone!
The best part is they plagiarized profile pictures from other victims to scam! They called at 10:49pm to distract me, chatting with me for an hour! Only on 10:51pm, i received a text on the TAC number.
Another text on 11.01pm, where i’m still on a call. So, i never realised. I seldom check out the messages. So, only after 9 days i found out on the TAC text!
▼ RM2020 in Public bank and RM3600 in UOB bank are been transferred!
▼ Even the remaining RM140 in the account also they transferred away, only left few ringgit for me.
I never thought within a day i lost RM5760! I just lodged a police report, hopefully i can get back all my money.

A few more crab sellers also scammer, they will plagiarized other’s profile picture!~
They already blocked me. But, i think i should share my experience. So, no more people falling in the same trap.

▼ If you looking at their page, the likes and the FB page also not the genuine one.
▼ One said ” I didn’t know i started to sell seafood?!”

▼ Some netizen also reminded everyone ” Do not download any apps that are not from the Play Store!”, ” Don’t download any apk link. It’s a common way to scam.”, ” Trojan is a malicious digital pest whose sole aim is to wreak havoc on its victims’ devices unnoticed. It does this by reading passwords, reading your text message, pictures, even to block your important messages.”
