Chinese Valentine’s day, also known as Qixi Festival is just around the corner. It is based on a romantic legend about a weaver girl and an ox herd. Some Chinese will worship to Yue Lao ( god of love and marriage) on this special day for a romantic relationship!
But.. But ! It falls on the 7th day of the 7th Chinese lunar month. In 2022 that’s August 4 (Thursday). There is no public holiday. What if you don’t want to miss the opportunity to worship the god??
This Malaysian girl just applied for leave and told her boss straight the reason she wanted to apply leave. As she don’t want to miss the chance for a romantic relationship! Don’t be jealous because she have such a nice & understanding boss!

This year the Qi Xi festival falls on Thursday. According to the legend, worship Yue Lao on this particular day is most effective. So i applied leave, reason being: Worship god of Love & Marriage ( I don’t think any one else will use the same reason like me .. hahaha)
I can’t believe my boss will replied me in that way! AND the point is he approved my leave immediately. He added if not approved i probably will blame him that i can’t get a boyfriend.
