This Malaysian netizen took social media to share how to convert the driving license online! You don’t need to struggle in the long queue and only a few steps to get your license ~

I just did it last night applying it online. I went to JPJ Petaling Jaya at 10 something , passed the receipt and IC to the counter. In less than 30 minutes, you will be able to get your driving license. Efficient~
Step ① ：
Log on to mySikap website【Click here】, you will need to register if first time login to the site.
Step ② ：
I successfully convert my license thus i share with everyone. So some of the pages ( Those with my personal details) i can’t really took a picture and share.
- After you filled in and submit all the information, you will received email for your password.
Step ③ ：
I forgot to print the receipt. So, i printed the receipt in JPJ. I’m not sure whether other branch with the same service. Best will be print at home to bring over.
Step ④ ：
- After log in to the page, you can change your password.
- After change the password, click on the tab” Lesen Memandu” ( Driving license).
- Then click on “Permohonan Lesen Memandu” ( Application for Driving license) to convert your Probation driving license to Competent driving license.
While you filling in your information, the system will asked you whether to update your photo. I never tick in the box, as i’m using the previous photo. So, i don’t need to do anything on photo.
Step ⑤ ：
- Jenis lesen( type of license) select CDL ( Competent Driving license)
- Tempoh lesen( License duration) select the number of years.
It’s just that simple! Then you will have to make payment and print the receipt. Going to JPJ counter and show your receipt and IC.
It’s really crowded when i’m in JPJ, at least 1 to 2 hours queue. If your guys can do it online, i believe will save a lot of time!
▼ Post author : When you reach JPJ, please check with the staff at the counter and tell them you did the application online, so they can send you to the right counter ( e.g. counter B). When it’s your turn then show them your IC and receipt and they will hand you the license. You do not need to get any number for queueing.
▼ Q: Is the photo same like the probation driving license photo?
A: Yes. Or it can be the same like your IC. But i don’t know how it works. You can check with the staff at the counter.
Q: Must go personally to collect the license?
A: Not necessary. I also help me cousin who is in oversea to collect.
Q: I lost the receipt. What can i do?
A: You can log in the system and go to “receipt/ other services” to reprint or get the people in JPJ help you to print.
▼ Q: What’s the payment like?
A: RM30 per year, i got the 3 years for RM90.
▼ Netizen: I walked in then they asked me renew for how many years. I gave them new photo and it’s done within 5 mins.
