What? It’s written in the wedding invitation card that those attending the wedding dinner need to give a fixed rate of RM250 as Ang Pao!
A netizen took social media KL娛樂站 to share his feeling after receiving a wedding invitation. He was shocked as the newly wed couple fixed RM250 Ang Pao for individual attending their wedding dinner.
The post read:
So bringing my wife and 2 kids along to the wedding dinner, i will need to give RM1,000 as Ang pao. This is according to the black & white, i’m sure it won’t go wrong.
Is the the trend for wedding dinner in Rawang now??
I don’t want to mentioned who is that? I don’t believe until i see the invitation card. An empty Angpao dropped out from the envelope. Then i realised it’s for us to insert the cash! The relatives & friends who are been invited. You do not need to guess how much Angpao you need to give or do market research what is the rate now. You can just follow instruction given by the newly wed couple.
You don’t have a problem, giving too little to the couple and they feeling unhappy. Or giving too much and you feel heartache. No obligation, you can attend the wedding if you can afford. No argument. No side effect. The same terms & conditions applied to all.
Hopefully after the payment the couple can give me a receipt.
According to Guang Ming Daily, it’s written in the invitation card if you pay via online banking or e-wallet, please print the receipt and insert into the Angpao given. Pass to the person in charge at the counter for verification.
And both TNG and Maybank account number was given in the invitation card too.
The post then went viral with most netizen commented “Rawang is famous now!”
Here are some of the comments:
” I don’t agree with what they do.”
” If i received this kind of invitation card, i’m not going to attend”
” Not only receipt, must also get the newly wed couple to give a certificate”
” Is the wedding dinner packages in Rawang so expensive?”
” Now only i realised wedding dinner can be a good business. Who want to partner with me?”
” Wedding dinner supposed to be receiving well wishes from relatives & friends. If you really just look into the money matter. Better don’t have a wedding dinner”
However, the post was now deleted. What do you think? If it were you receiving this invitation card? Are you going to attend the wedding dinner?
