The World’s Best Patisserie Is Now in Singapore: Dessert That Costs RM89 & 2 hours Queue!

Cédric Grolet opened his first shop in Orchid road, Singapore. This is the fourth worldwide after the wildly successful outlets in Paris and London.

He is the French pastry chef who has 8.4 million followers in Instagram and named the world’s best pastry chef.

Grolet is known for his Fruits Sculptés- desserts that resemble fruits and flowers. The Singapore store offered Mango Ginger Flower, Paris Brest Flower, Lychee, Dragon Fruit, and Vanilla Bean (SGD 26 /MYR 89 each), as well as mooncakes (SGD 52 / MYR 179 for a pair).

Beside desserts, the store is selling other french pastries, Coffee or Tea from as low as SGD 7/ MYR 24 . The most expensive item in the store will be the champagne for SGD 565 /MYR 1936 per serving.

The patisserie opens for booking 30 days in advance and all the seats for September have been snapped up already despite the price is on the high side.

Online orders for its click-and-collect service that allows customers to make purchases online and collect them at the store at a selected time. The service began on Aug 28.

On the first day alone, 800 pastries were ordered for collection.

One of the patron told media outlet that ,” I think the price is acceptable, desserts is something that embellish life. It can’t be measure with price.”

Another patron said,” I’m not a fan but i always wanted to try something new, so here am i!”
