15 hours ago, MyAirline took social media to make an announcement that operations will be suspended with immediate effect until further notice. The airline said it made the decision due to the financial pressures.
In overall, 39 flights servicing local destinations and one international route to Don Mueang Airport in Thailand were impacted, at least 10,000 passengers affected.
The comments section in social media is disabled at the moment. But when we checked out MYAirline Facebook account. We found the airline operator still running a promotion online a day before they ceased operations.
Beside the act of irresponsible shutting down without prior notice, some staff also complaining they didn’t get paid for 2 months. One of the MYAirline crew, Cecilia took TikTok to share her last day of work, the last flight for MYAirline.
In the video, she said she was informed on 11pm, Oct 11 that tomorrow’s flight will be cancelled but never thought things can turn out to be so bad.
She documented the last flight to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah at 4:37am.
” At 3:30am, my colleague told me the company went offline and management is no longer contactable. But this is the last flight, we are in servicing line. We decided to finish our job.”
” On Oct 12, the company instructed us to clear our work desk.. I’m heart-broken.. I never ever thought all of us ( MYAirline crews) are this ill-fated. We just lost our job.. I’m not sure what to do next.”
