A popular video trend has been circulating in social media showing netizen in Yogyakarta frying egg under the extremely hot sun.
According to Sinar Harian, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysical Agency of Indonesia (BMKG) said Indonesia will experience maybe 39 °C or more till the end of October.
In the video shared on Info Makassar, Netizen placed the frying pan with cooking oil under the hot sun and the egg cooked almost instantly. No joke ! You can even hear the egg sizzled in the pan. But one thing we are not sure , we don’t know whether they preheat the pan.
However, Vice Director of Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI), Agus Haryono said that it is possible to cook using the sunlight.But, boiling point for water is 100 °C while cooking oil is 170°C to180°C. Thus , theoretically it should take longer time to fully cooked the egg.
