Movie Of The Year Hustlers Officially Banned In Malaysia

There is an announcement from Square Box Pictures the distributor of Hustlers that the movie release has been cancelled as it has been banned in Malaysia. Critics are already calling Hustlers the movie of the Year.

Oh..Disappointed!

Hustlers based on a true story. A tale of New York City strippers who swindle Wall Street men out of their money after falling on hard times in the 2008 recession. On top of that, it features powerful leading women including Jennifer Lopez, Constance Wu, Cardi B, Lizzo, and Lili Reinhart.

Constance Wu stars in  “Crazy Rich Asians” as Rachel Chu, girlfriend to a history teacher played by Henry Golding. It’s the first Hollywood film in 25 years to feature an all-Asian cast. And we can’t wait to see her play a foul-mouthed stripper in Hustlers! Unfortunately. That’s NOT going to happen in the big screen.

Malaysia’s Film Censorship Board has officially banned the movie from playing on the screen due to its ‘excessive obscenity’, which is unsuitable for Malaysian viewers.

This film contains too many scenes with too much excessive obscene content and is not suitable for public screening,” the Malaysian Cencorship Board’s chairman Mohammad Zamberi said, as according to New Straits Times.

“We can see women’s breasts and men’s private parts. There are also erotic dances which are too much and scenes with drugs,” he added.
