Long Queue Spotted In Pawn Shop On The 1st Day of CMCO

Today is the first day of Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO), although state government allows certain sectors to resume operations. But, I’m sure you would’ve either experienced or seen by now that many people are losing their jobs, some even have to take a major pay cut or unpaid leave and government aids are not helping much, especially for those supporting a big family.

In these grim times, it probably forced some people to make desperate move — like selling maybe gold, branded watch or jewelry at this time.

We’ve spotted long queues of people outside pawn shops, looking to sell off whatever they have in order to get some money to feed the family!

Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said “Malaysia is weathering its worst economic recession in its history just as other developed nations are facing deep downturns due to the Covid-19 pandemic and Movement Control Order (MCO),” according to his recent interview in TV3.
