Homeless Dad Relocates His Yau Char Kwai Business To Selangor To Raise His 2 Daughters

Raising children is not something easy to do especially when you’re sole caretaker. As parent we want to make sure our children needs to be completed. Recently a netizen post a picture of a father of two daughters has recently had to migrate to Selangor to sell yau char kwai kwai to make ends meet. The post garnered 1.7K likes and 6.3K shares on Facebook and caught netizens’ attention.

They were originally from Johor but because of Covid-19 it is harder for the father to make enough money to support his daughters so he relocated to Selangor to sell Yau Char Kwai. The eldest daughter is 10 years old and the younger one is 6 years old.

The father was with entirely zero income amid the Covid crisis. With the empty pocket, sometimes he don’t even know how to put the meal on the table. He mentioned that “If I can do it well, I can make money and afford the rent. I will think about the rest of the problems later.”

He named his business ‘Hao Ba You Tiao,’ that can be translated simply into Good Father’s ‘You Tiao’s ( Yau Char Kwai).

In the post the it is stated that the father is selling Yau Char Kwai, lemon pancakes, bean paste pancakes and sesame pancakes for RM1 each. He said “Don’t give me money, as long as you support my business and give your feedback is enough!”He began his business on June 4 at the Johor Jaya Kopitiam on Jalan Anggerik 39 but to achieve more income he migrated to Selangor because he thinks that he might can increase his sales in a big city. The latest stall located at Restoran Peng Chu 13, Jalan SP 2/3, Taman Serdang Perdana, 43300 Seri Kembangan, Selangor and the opening hours is from 7AM until sold out, usually around 12PM.

Many people are touched by the post and want to help and support the father business so he can provide his daughters needs better.
