Ordering food via online apps seem so easy and harmless right? What could go wrong? Well, let me tell you, a lot of thing could go horribly wrong, it will cost you a fortune!  Previously, we heard story about a mother had to pay RM226 when her son secretly ordered Foodpanda! This time, there is another story about a kid and Foodpanda.

A Facebook post garnered over 741 likes and 1.1K shares when a Facebook user share an incident where a girl accidentally ordered more than 40 packs of chicken fillets with fries for her lunch with her grandmother. Thank God her grandmother don’t have a heart attack seeing the enormous order!

This post was originally in Tagalog since this incident happened in Cebu City, Philippine but the Facebook user who post this incident had also included the English version.

” I wrote it in English so you guys can understand better:
About 40 orders made by a child on an app of a food delivery service online. The child tried to order 2 boxes of chicken fillet with fries for her lunch with her grandma, which cost ₱189 each order. The child is known to have made orders successfully and was trusted to do so anytime. However, due to slow internet connection, her order went error. Owing to that error, she continuously made an order as she wanted to successfully make one. Unfortunately and unknowingly, those errored orders went through, resulting to multiple drivers coming to their residence one by one, accumulating almost 30 riders. Some riders didn’t come as they would probably have canceled as they noticed this suspicious transaction. The child cried as she did not plan this to happen. All of us, neighbors of Our Lady Of Remedy, Mabolo, Cebu City, helped to solve this by buying those items. I even put it on live which helped me find more buyers. I bought most of the remaining orders so I can help. And that the riders can continue working and the child’s trauma would be lessened .However, some riders were on a hurry for their next booking, leaving the place without being paid and bringing the unsold items.”.

Just for your information, ₱189 is equivalent to RM16.05 and she made 40 order, so roughly she had to pay a total amount of RM642! What??? Thank God, she lived in a really nice and understanding neighbourhood.
