Parents Couldn’t Afford To Rent Prom Dress, Brother Made Unique One For His Sister!

Siblings see the best and worst sides of you and love you anyway. They’ll always be there whenever you need them.

When Maverick Francisco Oyao from the Philippines realized that his parents couldn’t afford to rent any expensive prom dress for his sister, he decided to design and create a new and unique prom dress for her sister.

Last month(February), Maverick learned that his sister, Lu Asey wanted to attend the Junior and Senior Prom which was held on Valentine’s Day. However, the prom dresses were too expensive for this poor family, the parents couldn’t even rent one.

Since it is Lu Asey’s last chance to join the event, she was unwilling to give up. The loving brother, Maverick didn’t have the heart to let his sister down, so he came up with an idea: Make a prom dress instead of buying or renting!

Maverick shared that he knew nothing about designing and sewing. Hence, he browsed on Google and Youtube to search for his inspiration.

He made every effect to fulfill his sister’s wish. Their mother did help in sewing too. When there is a will there is a way! Maverick eventually finished creating the impressive prom dress in just a week!

The prom dress is in royal blue and satin material with a criss-cross design on the skirt using a white satin ribbon. The skirt is filled with some mini flowers and beads. For giving it a majestic look, Maverick painted the bodice in ombre colour and paired it with fin-like sleeves.
