‘Train to Busan’ Sequel, ‘Peninsula’ Set to Premiere in Aug 2020

Train to Busan, 2016 Korean blockbuster will be releasing its sequel in 2020, with sources confirming the premiere to be in August.

Peninsula will be the sequel to the Train to Busan, and will be set in the same universe as characters make a bid to leave Korea after it is dominated by zombies.

The film began shooting in June 24, 2018.

Kang Dong Won, Lee Jung Hyun, Lee Re, Kwon Hae Hyo, Kim Min Jae, and Goo Kyo Hwan have been confirmed as cast members.

Kang Dong Won plays Jung Suk, who risks his life to fight against zombies that have dominated the country. Lee Jung Hyun plays Min Jung, a tough woman who leads people and doesn’t give up in her battle against zombies.

Child actress Lee Re plays Joon, who goes through difficult situations with Min Jung. Kwon Hae Hyo plays Kim Noh In, who is the eldest crew and does not lose hope of being rescued.

Kim Min Jae and Goo Kyo Hwan will add tension as they lead the peninsula’s military units while hiding different ambitions.
